JogOn and Bike Marking Event - Wednesday 19th August 3pm - 6pm @ Hirst Wood, Shipley BD18 4NQ |
Join us on Wednesday 19th August at Hirst Wood, Shipley BD18 4NQ between 3pm and 6pm, where we will be hosting a pop-up stall to be on hand to provide safety advice, JogOn campaign information, and resources. We are also running a FREE BikeRegister bike marking event, to help to protect your bicycle and deter theft. We are working in partnership with the Canal and River Trust, so come along, have a chat with us, and find out more about the support and initiatives available in your area.
As the warmer weather encourages more people to get outdoors and keep active, we're continuing to support the #JogOn campaign, which raises awareness of the harassment and abuse experienced by female runners. Everyone has the right to feel safe while exercising. Behaviour such as shouting at runners, making inappropriate comments, or acting in an intimidating manner is never acceptable and can have a significant impact on how safe and confident people feel when out enjoying their run.
For more information about the JogOn campaign, visit the West Yorkshire Police website https://www.westyorkshire.police.uk/jogon For bike marking information, visit The National Cycle Database | BikeRegister | ||
